Searching the live web
Use filtered browsing time to search the open web when the satellite link is up.
Planned. This module is part of the plan and is not written yet.
Why it matters
The open web holds answers the offline library cannot, alongside adverts and people trying to trick you; satellite time is shared, so searching well and spotting sponsored results matters.

End-of-module test
Plan and run a filtered live search, and pick out the adverts and sponsored results on a results page.

Practicalities
Draft outline · in reviewMostly offline
Planned to run mostly on the Lantern's own computer; some parts will need the satellite link.
Beyond the screen
Needs the satellite link
Languages
Planned first in English; every module aims to reach all of the Lantern's languages.
Try a question.
One question from the module, as a learner would meet it. Have a go, then open the worked solution a step at a time.
Draft outline · in review
On a results page, the first result is labelled 'Sponsored' and says 'Free phone for every student! Click now!'. What does 'Sponsored' mean, and what should you do?
Work it out on paper first, then show the answer and mark it yourself.

Everything this module builds on, drawn as a route from its foundations. Solid lanes must be mastered first, or cleared by a Challenge Test; dashed lanes are suggestions that never lock anything.

Every route on this map starts in a classroom with 24 stations, a tutor that works offline and a facilitator upstairs. Four are planned and waiting for light.
